Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification where employed
• Minimum 5 years performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data
• Update patient information in the system
• Explain venipuncture steps clearly to patients
• Package and store specimens according to protocol
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings
• Answer inquiries and communicate results as needed
