Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a phlebotomist to assist in performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient data in a fast-paced lab setting.

The role requires venipuncture experience, a high school diploma or GED, and state phlebotomy certification. You will follow safety protocols, participate in annual trainings, and ensure specimens are stored and transported correctly.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients and other specimen collection tasks.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles as required.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling and handling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
