Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data recording

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split and freeze as required
• Package specimens for transport and store per temperature requirements
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and wear PPE
• Attend annual department trainings and respond to inquiries
