Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws with accuracy and patient comfort.
• Label, store and transport specimens per protocol.
• Handle specimens including centrifuging, freezing and packaging for transport.
• Verify test requisitions with labels to ensure accuracy.
• Explain procedures to patients and assist with collections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and document maintenance.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and protocols.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Assist with workflow improvements and training.
• Answer patient questions by phone and report results when needed.
• Attend trainings to stay current with best practices.
