Job summary

Centers Laboratory in West Chester, PA is seeking Phlebotomists for weekday shifts from 8 AM to 7 PM. The ideal candidate has 2 years of phlebotomy experience and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, preparing for draws, labeling specimens, adhering to safety procedures, and maintaining accurate records. May work at multiple locations and must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred.
• If not certified, completed hospital or major lab training program is required.
• Understanding of standard blood drawing practices and procedures is expected.
• 2 years proven experience as a phlebotomist is required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify patients and prepare for blood draws.
• Draw blood using proper equipment and techniques.
• Label test tubes and ensure correct tube order of draw.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and dispose of waste properly.
• Educate patients on aftercare and monitor for reactions.
