Job summary

LCMC Health in the United States is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and skin puncture on patients of all ages, following department SOP and strict patient identification protocols.

You will transcribe orders from outside providers, receive and process specimens, deliver samples to the Lab, label with two identifiers, manage supplies, and support quality assurance while working evenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Equivalent relevant experience of 4 years in lieu of High School or GED.
• Completion of certification program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and skin puncture on all age groups per SOP.
• Transcribe orders from outside providers as needed.
• Label specimens with at least two patient identifiers.
• Deliver specimens to the Lab sections.
• Maintain inventory and stock phlebotomy supplies.
