Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, part of Dignity Health, seeks a Phlebotomist to support the Laboratory in obtaining and preparing specimens for analysis across outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency department settings. You will work under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and use a state-of-the-art handheld computer to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate completed an accredited phlebotomy program, with national certification preferred, and holds a high school

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited phlebotomy program; national certification preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and prepare specimens for analysis under supervision.
• Use a wireless handheld computer to document specimens and ensure patient safety.
• Support Mercy Gilbert Medical Center's mission by delivering compassionate care.
• Assist in laboratory tasks for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and ED patients.
