Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a Phlebotomist to obtain and prepare specimens for analysis to support essential laboratory services for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency patients.

Under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will use a wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and participate in fulfilling the center's mission of compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Phlebotomist, you will help the Laboratory obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis so they can provide accurate laboratory services vital for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency department patients.

Every day you will work under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, obtaining and/or preparing specimens for analysis. You will be expected to use a state-of-the-art wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

To be successful in this role, you must be a dynamic Phlebotomist who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients and have completed an accredited phlebotomy program (with national certification being preferred).

Job Requirements (Required)

• High School diploma or equivalent
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Preferred

• Previous experience in a health-related field
• Phlebotomy Cert
