Advocate Health’s 60447 IL ACL Laboratories - Good Samaritan location is seeking a phlebotomy technician for day shifts. 32 hours weekly, full-time position with rotating weekends and holidays, starting between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The role involves verifying patient identification, collecting specimens from neonates to adults, labeling correctly, handling inquiries, and supporting billing and quality assurance processes. High school diploma required; 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and typing ability.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and specimen collection per protocol.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens across age groups.
• Ensures proper labeling and testing readiness of specimens.
• Answers calls and assists with inventory and equipment.
• Supports billing and other business functions.
