Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a part-time Phlebotomist for the ACL Laboratories – Sherman: Support Services. The role involves day shifts starting between 4-6 am, with alternating weekends and at least two holidays per year.

You will perform venipuncture across age groups, ensure proper labeling, and support billing and other functions as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma and ideally 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and collects specimens per protocol.
• Performs venipuncture and specimens collection for newborns to adults.
• Label specimens correctly and resolve labeling/requisition issues.
• Answer calls and assist with inventory and supplies.
• Instructs staff and students in phlebotomy and data entry.
