LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our Gainesville, FL team.

The role involves performing donor phlebotomies, collecting blood with automated instruments, registering donors, and ensuring donor eligibility while delivering excellent customer service. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in computer software applications.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomies and collect blood from donors according to SOP.
• Collect blood using automated instruments (after training).
• Register donors in LifeSouth IBBIS system.
• Determine donor eligibility based on interview and physical process.
• Accurately identify donors in all steps of the donation process.
• Assist in recruitment and rescheduling of donors.
• Convert donors to automated technology when appropriate.
• Provide high level customer service to internal and external customers.
