Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. seeks a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our Jacksonville, FL team.

You will perform donor venipuncture, collect blood, and register donors in our IBBIS system while ensuring eligibility and accuracy throughout the donation process. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Proficient with computer software and the LifeSouth system (IBBIS).
• Customer service experience preferred; CDL holders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomies and collect donor blood per SOP.
• Register donors in the LifeSouth system (IBBIS).
• Assess donor eligibility during interview and physical.
• Identify donors accurately at all donation stages.
• Assist in recruitment, tele-recruitment and rescheduling.
• Support donor shift to automated technology when trained.
• Provide high-level customer service to internal and external customers.
