Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomy support role in San Antonio, TX. You will interact with donors daily, perform screening, collect plasma, and maintain accurate records within a fast-paced center.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training will cover donor safety, phlebotomy, and data entry in our donor information system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays work required.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lbs, occasional up to 32 lbs, rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, hearing equipment from distance.
• 90% of tasks require glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens risk level 1.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and staff safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record donor vital signs and finger sticks.
• Use Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities and initiate changes to center processes per procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
