Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking candidates for a phlebotomy-oriented role at fixed site locations in the Kalamazoo area. You will assist with the blood collection process, ensure a welcoming environment for volunteer donors, and follow safety procedures to deliver lifesaving blood to hospitals.

We offer paid phlebotomy training and opportunities to grow healthcare skills within the nation’s leading humanitarian organization. Prior phlebotomy or healthcare exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting is required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Must be physically able to lift, push or pull heavy weights and stand for long periods.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required.

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Maintain accuracy to ensure blood collection meets goals and safety standards.
