Job summary

Memorial Blood Centers in the Twin Cities region seeks a phlebotomy-oriented donor services professional. Responsibilities include donor screening, blood collection, and patient care across fixed centers and mobile drives. The role supports a rotating schedule with early mornings to evenings.

Experience with phlebotomy or related training is preferred. Excellent customer service and the ability to travel locally are required. Competitive benefits and a 403(b) plan are available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Local travel with reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 40 pounds.
• Full hand use and depth perception needed.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy, nursing assistant, medical assistant, EMT or related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document vitals to determine donor eligibility.
• Perform blood collection (phlebotomy) following safety procedures.
• Provide customer service and pre/post donation care as needed.
• Assist with setting up community blood drives and loading/unloading mobile units.
• Perform cleaning tasks, including equipment cleaning.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation to prevent loss of units.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
