Job summary

McPherson Hospital in Kansas is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect, process, and deliver specimens to the Laboratory for testing, as ordered by Physicians, while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training is preferred but not required.
• ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required.
• Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred but not required.
• Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, processes, and delivers specimens to appropriate sections of the Laboratory for testing as ordered by the Physician.
• Actively participates in outstanding customer service.
• Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples correctly and proficiency with laboratory EMR system for order entry, faxing and printing, and scheduling.
• Must be comfortable with fast paced environment and be able to multitask.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through interactions with teams, staff, and management.
