Job summary

McPherson Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for full-time day shifts. The role involves collecting, processing, and delivering patient specimens to the Laboratory and delivering outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, reliability, and accuracy in fast-paced settings. Phlebotomy training or licensure is preferred but not required, with hospital experience beneficial.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training preferred but not required.
• ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required.
• Experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred but not required.
• Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required.

• Collects, processes, and delivers specimens to laboratory sections as ordered.

• Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples accurately and in EMR order entry.

Phlebotomist Job Summary:

Collects,processes, and delivers specimens to appropriate sections of the Laboratory for testing as ordered by the Physician. Actively participates in outstanding customer service.

Phlebotomist Essential Accountabilities:

• Strong communication skills

• Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples correctly, and proficiency and accuracy with laboratory EMR system for accurate order entry, faxing and printing, and scheduling.
