Job summary

McPherson Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for full-time day shifts. The role involves collecting, processing, and delivering patient specimens to the Laboratory and delivering outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, reliability, and accuracy in fast-paced settings. Phlebotomy training or licensure is preferred but not required, with hospital experience beneficial.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training preferred but not required.
• ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required.
• Experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred but not required.
• Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, processes, and delivers specimens to laboratory sections as ordered.
• Excels in fast-paced environment and multitasks efficiently.
• Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples accurately and in EMR order entry.
• Maintains attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and scheduling.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication with patients and staff.
• Exhibits independent judgment with minimal supervision.
