Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist for Mansfield & Richland Correctional Institutes, operating Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include venipuncture collections, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to other sites. Strong customer service and proper phlebotomy certification are required, along with basic billing duties and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Pass color blindness test and able to pass Ohio department of corrections background.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
