Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a phlebotomist to obtain blood specimens from patients of all ages at our Austin clinics. The role includes processing orders, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting core laboratory operations.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collection, adhere to safety protocols, and assist with training new staff while delivering professional patient service. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30am–1:30pm.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; phlebotomy class preferred.
• Experience: Either completion of phlebotomy class or at least 1 year phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory environment and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage priorities.
• Proficient with Windows and keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• Collects laboratory specimens from patients of all ages.
• Processes laboratory orders and specimens according to protocol.
• Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, compliance policies.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Promotes professional customer service.
• Maintains attendance and follows company policies.
• May be required to flex to other clinics.
• Performs waived testing.
• Manages draw area supplies and sharps containers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
