Modern Machining Solutions Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Germantown, MD. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper transport and record-keeping while adhering to OSHA regulations. Valid phlebotomy certification and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in phlebotomy environment.

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
