Job summary

KingRecruitingServices in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: 6:30am–2:30pm, Mon-Fri with Saturday rotations.

You will perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and manage patient data according to procedures. Requirements include a current phlebotomy certification for the state, at least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match requisitions with specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split and freeze as required.
