Tom Trese Networking LLC in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist on a contract basis (potential for permanent) to join our clinical team. This role covers a 6:30am-2:30pm schedule, Monday to Friday with Saturday rotations, and an initial 3-month project duration with potential for extension.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifugation, documenting results, and communicating procedures clearly to patients.

Qualifications

• 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• State phlebotomy certification (where required).
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients in a courteous manner.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand physicians' orders and match requisition forms to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol to maintain integrity.
• Label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Ensure all requisitions match scripts and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and review laboratory results as needed.
