Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Indianapolis team. Responsibilities include blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with phlebotomy certification or equivalent training and at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience. Strong customer service and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
