Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in Greenwich, CT seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. Schedule: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri with rotating Saturdays in a clinical lab.

The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification, 12+ months of venipuncture experience, and MS Office proficiency. A high school diploma or GED is required; OSHA/DEP guidelines must be followed.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the employing state.
• 12+ months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab/hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and labeling; centrifuging and data recording.
• Collect and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate techniques with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure orders match requisitions; verify accuracy.
• Package specimens and store per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Answer calls and relay lab results as needed.
