Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain data logs
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and label correctly
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocols
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings
• Answer calls and relay results as needed
