Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist in Baltimore, MD for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data recording, and proper transport of samples.

Requires 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, pediatric to geriatric patient exposure, and a valid state phlebotomy certification. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm with one Saturday monthly, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and transports as required.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Follow lab protocols for labeling, splitting, freezing, and transporting specimens.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in department trainings.
