Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Falls Church, VA seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role (3 months with potential for permanent). Schedule: Mon–Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm; phlebotomy certification and some college required.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed
• Experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital
• High school diploma or GED; some college coursework

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, maintain data, and update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure orders match requisitions and transport specimens accordingly.
• Label and process specimens; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings; assist with inquiries as needed.
