Job Juncture in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday through Friday and every other Saturday 7am–11am.

The job involves blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and transporting specimens, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring OSHA/DEP compliance. Requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months venipuncture experience, with MS Office proficiency and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification valid for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection per protocol.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient information and test orders.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Ensure OSHA and DEP regulations compliance.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and communicate results.
