Job summary

Markent Personnel in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position. Schedule 8:00am-4:30pm, M-F and every other Sat 7am-11am; project duration 3 months with potential for permanent employment.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging, maintaining records, and ensuring proper transport and storage while complying with OSHA and DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification as required.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to procedures.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package and transport specimens, ensure proper labeling and temperature control.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
