Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required in state.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures and transport requirements.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and participate in annual trainings.
