Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist in Baltimore, MD for a 3-month contract with potential to become permanent. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm with one Saturday per month. Responsibilities include collecting blood samples, labeling, and handling specimens in a fast-paced lab.

The role requires 2-4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, with pediatric to geriatric patient exposure. Valid phlebotomy certification and proficiency in Microsoft Office are needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate areas and update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% correct labeling.
• Package, transport, and store specimens per protocol.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
