Job summary

Management Performance Associates in Baltimore, MD seeks a contract Phlebotomist for a 3-month assignment with potential for permanent hire. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, plus one Saturday per month 8:00am-2:30pm.

Requires 2–4 years diagnostic phlebotomy experience across pediatric to geriatric populations, and a valid state Phlebotomy certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a HS diploma or GED are required. Training and OSHA/DEP compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens and centrifuge as required.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination procedures per protocol.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
