Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Farmville, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and data entry with strict quality control.

Requires pediatric/straight-stick needle experience and a valid state phlebotomy certification; minimum 2 years' experience in phlebotomy in a fast-paced setting. Benefits are available and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• At least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture with straight or butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens; maintain accurate testing records.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and assuage concerns.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
