Job Juncture in Charlotte, NC seeks a contract Phlebotomist to support a fast paced lab. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data entry, and ensuring specimen integrity.

Qualifications include valid state phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months venipuncture experience, HS diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Duration is 3 months with potential for permanent hire.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and/or other staff.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling and handling.
