Tom Trese Networking LLC in Thomasville, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with an estimated duration of 3 months and potential for permanent employment. Benefits are available and the role requires venipuncture experience and certification as applicable by state.

The successful candidate will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and maintain accurate patient information while following protocols and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED; Phlebotomy certification as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimens; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
