Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, recording data, and ensuring proper transport and storage. Requires certification and prior venipuncture experience, with 3 months+ duration and daytime hours; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique.
• Understand all physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required; transport specimens maintaining integrity.
