Job summary

Labcorp in Hampton, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling and patient service in a busy clinical setting.

Schedule is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays. A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training are required; travel to other sites may be needed. Pay range listed and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or training, or 6+ months phlebotomy experience.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.
• Overtime flexibility and exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests and alcohol tests.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
