Job summary

Labcorp in Kenansville, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, prepare specimens for testing, and ensure accurate data entry while delivering exceptional patient service.

You may travel to additional sites as needed and participate in administrative tasks. A phlebotomy certification or training, or related experience is required, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned
