Performs venipuncture and skin puncture in the ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)

Education: H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Responsibilities

1. Ensure quality by verifying patient identification and specimen labeling.
2. Perform all tasks necessary to register patients and enter lab orders into the lab computer system.
3. Perform a variety of routine and complex blood drawing procedures including venipuncture, finger and heel sticks, and blood cultures.
4. Perform point-of-care testing, specimen processing, and EKGs in ambulatory settings.
5. Handle, process, and prepare samples collected for testing or transportation to other testing facilities.
6. Prepare provider office samples for transportation.
7. Collect and perform non-occupational drug screens.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $15.86 per hour - $25.69 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting.
