Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a per diem laboratory support staff member at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. You will perform data entry of specimens and patient information in the LIS and assist with clerical duties within the Laboratory.

The role requires venipuncture experience, phlebotomy or MLA training within the past year, and relevant certifications. Flexible shifts are available across 6:00am to 11:30pm, with a strong commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; additional courses/training preferred.
• Must have completed a college-based or accredited phlebotomy program within the past year or MLA program within the past year, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of specimens and patient information in LIS and department logs.
• Enter test charges, schedule tests and results in laboratory database.
• Support laboratory operations and clerical tasks as assigned.

Skills

Venipuncture experience

EKG knowledge

CPR certification

ASCP/NCA credential within 2 years

Education

High school diploma

Phlebotomy program or MLA program within past year
