Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist in Cumming, GA. The role supports blood collection across age groups, specimen labeling, and transport processes in a contract setting with potential for permanent placement.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:15am–4:15pm, with an anticipated 3-month duration and benefits available. The ideal candidate has a valid state phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed is required.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately according to procedures.
• Centrifuge specimens, document maintenance data, and decontaminate work areas.
• Record patient information and ensure correct specimen labeling and test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain proper storage temperatures.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and participate in annual trainings.
