Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Spotswood, NJ team. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens, and manage patient data with accuracy while delivering outstanding customer service in a multi-site environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy experience; certification or training from an accredited agency is preferred. Evening and weekend hours may apply with potential travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
