Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, blood processing, and data entry related to patient testing and billing, under supervision of the Clinical Laboratory Manager. The role involves collaboration with the billing office to coordinate charges and collect payment.

The CL Assistant must demonstrate knowledge of phlebotomy protocols, maintain confidentiality, and support administrative and patient care duties within a clinical laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification required.
• One year phlebotomy experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy protocols knowledge from training program.
• Working knowledge of laboratory software.
• Minimum of 200 documented blood draws.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task and follow procedures.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication with staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy services per established procedures, including patient ID, prep, and labeling.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information per protocols.
• Ensure correct routing of billing information (bill insurance/patient/client).
• Process samples according to testing protocols and proper transport.
• Maintain clean work area and follow OSHA bloodborne pathogen guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and supply management to maintain minimum levels.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
