Baptist Health is hiring a Phlebotomist-Admissions Coordinator in Lexington, KY. This full-time, first-shift position supports Laboratory Services and Pathology with patient intake, specimen handling, and data entry.

Responsibilities include prioritizing workloads, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accurate interpretation of physician orders within the LIS, while maintaining compliance and safety standards. BLS certification required upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required; if not current, obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Less than one year of work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and organizes workload efficiently.
• Adjusts priorities to assure proper patient care.
• Completes tasks on time and meets deadlines.
• Ensures orders are interpreted and registered correctly.
• Refreshes and handles patient/specimen data in the LIS system.
• Instructs patients on pre-test requirements when needed.
• Maintains compliance and completes required paperwork.
