Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist/Admissions Coordinator to join the Laboratory Services team. You will prioritize workloads, greet patients, register specimens, and ensure accurate order interpretation and timely processing.

This role requires strong attention to detail, a High School diploma, and a current BLS certification within 30 days. On-site duties include patient prep instructions, specimen handling, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification is required (within 30 days of hire).
• Experience in phlebotomy or admissions coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and organizes workload efficiently.
• Greets, receives, and registers patients/specimens into the system.
• Instructs patients on pre-test preparations and requirements.
• Receives specimens and delivers to proper departments in a timely manner.
• Ensures compliance and completes required paperwork during registration.
• Performs duties in accordance with hospital policies and safety guidelines.
