Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Birmingham, AL. The role involves performing venipuncture in a 7on/7off schedule (Wed-Tue, 12:30 PM - 10:00 PM) with rotating weekends, collecting specimens for various tests, and ensuring accurate data entry and patient service.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 6 months or more phlebotomy experience; preferred candidates have phlebotomy certification or 1 year of experience. Travel to other sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
