Job summary

KLA Industries in Cumming, GA seeks a contract Phlebotomist for an initial 3-month engagement with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 7:15am – 4:15pm, Monday to Friday, in a on-site lab setting with benefits available.

The role requires a Valid Phlebotomy certification and at least 2 years of relevant experience in venipuncture, labeling, and specimen handling, with OSHA-compliant practices and accurate data recording.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and updates patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients and demonstrate technique.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures while following protocols.
