The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient information and maintenance data in a fast-paced lab environment. A valid Phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Ensure test requisitions or labels are correct before processing.
