Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection across all ages. You will prepare specimens for testing and enter patient data accurately.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred phlebotomy certification and 6 months+ experience. Flexibility for travel and a focus on excellent patient service are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program is preferred.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist is preferred.
• Must pass a color‑blindness test and have reliable transportation if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Carry out administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 12:00pm – 8:30pm
• Rotating days off; every other weekend rotation
• Week1: 3‑day work week; Week2: 4‑day work week
• Rotating holidays; rotating holidays will be scheduled

Minimum Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, certification or program completion must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
